Connect your tools

Nothing happens in Resonant IQ until your customer evidence is flowing in. This is the first thing to do — connect a tool, confirm the sync, and scoring begins on its own.

Resonant IQ reads from two streams of evidence — the conversations customers send you and the activity around each account, from your team and the customer alike. Connectors are how both streams get in. Until at least one is connected, every other screen sits empty.

You'll need admin access.
Only workspace admins can add or manage connectors. You'll also need permission to authorize the app in each source tool (HubSpot, Zendesk, and so on).

Open the Integrations page

Go to Settings → Workspace → Integrations. You'll see every tool Resonant IQ can connect to, with the ones you've already linked marked by their status.

Connect
A connector's status pill tells you at a glance whether it's healthy. We'll cover what each state means in step 4.
2

Authorize your first connector

Find a tool that holds your customer conversations — Zendesk, Intercom, or Help Scout are good first picks — and click Connect. A secure authorization window opens in the source tool; approve access and you're returned here automatically.

Connect Zendesk
Resonant IQ will read tickets and conversations. It never writes anything back to Zendesk.

Connectors are read-only by design. This is the Stance B principle — Resonant IQ layers intelligence on top of your tools without ever changing the source.
3

Confirm data is flowing

The first sync starts immediately and usually finishes within a few minutes. Once it does, the connector shows an Active status and its sync cadence. Conversations begin appearing across the app, and scoring kicks off automatically.

Keep connectors healthy

A connector's status pill is your early-warning system. Here's what each one means:

Active
Healthy. Syncing on schedule and pulling in new evidence.
Paused
You stopped the sync intentionally. No new data until you resume it.
Error
A sync run failed — often a temporary API issue. Resonant IQ retries automatically.
Reconnect required
Access was revoked or expired. Needs a quick reconnect to resume.

If you see Auth error, the source tool revoked or expired Resonant IQ's access — usually after a password change or an admin removing the app. Reconnecting takes a few seconds:

Intercom needs to be reconnected
Authorization expired. Open the connector and click Reconnect to restore the sync — no data is lost in the meantime.

What happens next

With one connector live, Resonant IQ starts working on its own: conversations are scored against your rubric, account health begins to populate, and the first signals surface within a day. Connect more tools any time — each one adds evidence and sharpens the picture.
